ART CLASSES-How Great Thou Art!

How Great Thou Art!  ART CLASSES

“Creativity is Contagious. Pass it on.” This quote from Albert Einstein is my vision for How Great Thou Art!   And my mission is to establish an environment where creating art revives your spirit.

I offer Art Classes in Stirling, Ontario, in my home studio, surrounded by nature. The classes are 2.5 hours and are designed around your creative interest.  Classes are kept small (a maximum of 4 people) to ensure that all students enjoy the experience and I have time to focus on each individual’s painting.

When are classes offered?

You can register for a regular class on a Thursday night from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m., or on a Saturday afternoon from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time.  Class dates and times can be changed at any time by How Great Thou Art! However, private classes for individuals or groups can be reserved at any time – just contact me to fix a date and time. When you call, we will also talk about what you would like to create in the class.

What do I supply?

I supply everything you need for the class!  Canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, aprons to protect your clothes, and of course, tutoring by an award winning artist. Note: We use acrylic paint, a water-based paint that does not come off clothes once dried. Please wear old, comfortable clothing that you are not worried about staining.

What type of scene do we paint and on what size canvas?

Each class is different, but, under normal circumstances, when you come to a class, I offer a choice of three scenarios. The class paints the scene that gets the majority of votes. Depending on the subject matter, we may paint on canvas sizes from 12 x 12 inches to 16 x 20 inches.  For private classes, we work on what you would like to paint. Really, there is no hard and fast rule for either the scheduled class or the private individual or group classes. The goal is for you to have fun while exploring your creativity.

What do you bring?

You just bring your enthusiasm and your curiosity—and of course, any hidden creativity.

What do you get out of the class?

You get expert instruction, all your tools supplied, a fun environment,  and on top of that, you take home your own art creation.
